Water is arguably the most valuable resource in the world. We need it to do a million things, including live. Without it, life on Earth wouldn’t be possible.
So how much would you pay for a bottle of water?
There’s definitely value in having water delivered to your home or office, especially crisp, pure drinking water. But for some people with extravagant taste and big wallets, you get what you pay for – and they want water that costs well above average.
Here, we’ll run through some of the world’s most expensive water. By the time you get done reading you’ll never complain about water prices again!
#5: VEEN Water
Made in Finland, VEEN (short for a Finnish phrase that means “Mother of the Water”) comes in at a hefty $23 per 750 ML. Why the high cost? The makers of VEEN claim it is the purest water in the world, and it has won several awards for its taste.
We’ve never had VEEN, but for $23 a bottle, we’ll pass.
#4: Bling H2O
The appropriately-named Bling H20 water was developed by a Hollywood producer and features water bottled from natural springs located in Dandridge, Tennessee. One of the reasons Bling H20 is $40 per 750 ML is because the bottles feature Swarovski crystals and chrome. (The name probably tacks on a few bucks, too.)
#3: Fillico
The previous two entries are expensive, but Fillico really takes it to another level. Branded as “Jewelry water,” Fillico comes in frosted bottles that look like chess pieces, with crowns on the top (and metal wings on the side). The price? A cool $219 per 750 ML. It’s no wonder it’s so expensive; it was started in Beverly Hills and found its way through private parties hosted by Hollywood elite. Also, the water comes from the Kobe, Japan, which is home to ridiculously-expensive Kobe beef.
#2: Kona Nigari
Speaking of Japan, another Japanese brand is near the top of the list. Checking in at a staggering $402 per 750 ML, Kona Nigari contains water that supposedly comes from 2,000 meters off the coast of Hawaii, from a deep sea current. We’re not sure what exactly that means, but the makers claim it has numerous health benefits. For $402 a bottle, it better.
#1: Acqua Di Cristallo Tributo a Modigliani
Finally, we get to number one on the list – and it’s a mouthful.
Designed by the same person who designed the world’s most expensive bottle of cognac, Acqua Di Cristallo Tributo a Modigliani (our Italian is rusty, but roughly translated it means “Crystal Water Tribute to Modigliani”, who was a famous Italian painter) costs a mind-blowing $70,752 per 750 ML (or 60,000 Euros). The bottle is made from 24 carat gold and contains water from Fiji and France. The only people who are buying this have more money than sense. But still, we’d like to have a bottle, if only to decorate our office.
Fortunately, if you want crisp, clean, pure drinking water delivered to your home or office, you don’t have to pay $70,000.
